I have always been intrigued with the 360 view of the human form and its complexity; The challenge is how to portray thoughtful moments and hidden narratives for the viewer, as well as making figurative sculptures with extremes of expression, emotions, stress and sensuality, an unusual pose or just whimsical memories that make me smile. To interpret these thoughts and ideas, to make sense of body shapes, plus the torsion in figures and to find some overall unity is never easy, frequently challenging, and often difficult to resolve. I prefer a constructive building method after casting a basic figure. I’m increasingly preoccupied with the Deconstruction and Reconstruction of my figures; multiples, texture and using combinations of cement or wood.
